Let’s take as an example “Animated Heading” widget.
Instead of writing the static content for your heading, you can activate dynamic tags as follows:
Or another example: if you wish to use "Text Editor" element to add some dynamic description/text from the post content or post custom field, you can activate the dynamic tags to be used instead of TinyMCE editor:
In the same way you can activate and insert dynamic text values in any text field of any content element like titles in accordions and tabs, text in tab & accordions, titles and text in infobox and text box, text in the button etc.
Following dynamic tags for text fields are available:
Post/Page Title
Displays the title of the current post/page
Post/Page Excerpt
Displays the excerpt of the current post/page
Post/Page Date
Displays the date when the current post/page was published
Post/Page Time
Displays the time when the current post/page was published
Author Name
Displays the name of the author of the current post/page
Comments Number
Displays the number of comments of the current post/page
Post Terms
Displays the chosen taxonomy for the current post (category, tags, etc.).
Note: after selecting this tag you need to choose the respective taxonomy by clicking on the wrench icon:
Custom Field (TheGem)
Displays the value of the chosen TheGem’s custom field that is associated with the current post.
Note: after selecting this tag you need to choose the respective custom field key by clicking on the wrench icon:
Custom Field, Number (TheGem)
Displays the value of the chosen TheGem’s custom field of the type NUMBER that is associated with the current post. Other than in “Custom Field (TheGem) here you can specify the WP Locale for auto formatting the number output
ACF Field
Displays the value of the chosen ACF field (advance custom fields plugin) that is associated with the current post.
Note: after selecting this tag you need to choose the respective ACF Field by clicking on the wrench icon:
Toolset Field
Displays the value of the chosen Toolset field (Toolset plugin) that is associated with the current post. Please note: after selecting this tag you need to choose the respective toolset field by clicking on the wrench icon.
