How to Activate the Sidebars
Activating the sidebars for the entire website
Page Sidebar
In order to globally activate the page sidebars for the entire website (for all posts, pages etc.):

Go to Theme Options -> General -> Theme Layout

Scroll down to the "Page Sidebar" section
- 3

and activate the "Sidebar" setting.
After that you can define the position of the sidebar on page (left, right) and optionally activate the "Sticky Sidebar" option.
Footer Widget Area
In order to globally activate the footer widget area for the entire website (for all posts, pages etc.)

Go to Theme Options ->Footer

Scroll down to the "Footer Widget Area" section

Activate the "Footer Widget Area" setting.
Activating for separate post types
Page Sidebar
In order to activate the page sidebar for separate post types:

go to "Theme Options -> Single Pages" (or, if you wish to activate the sidebar for specific archives, go to "Theme Options -> Archive Pages")

Scroll down to the "Content Area & Sidebar" section

Activate the Global Settings for All Pages setting.

Scroll down to the Sidebar section and activate the Sidebar setting.
After that you can define the position of the sidebar on page (left, right) and optionally activate the "Sticky Sidebar" option.

Click on "Content Area & Sidebar"

In the "Page Sidebar" section select "Enabled" in Sidebar setting

In order to activate the Footer Widget Area for separate posts/pages:

Click on "Footer"

In the "Footer Widget Area" section select "Enabled"
