How to Add Custom Product Tabs?
By default WooCommerce includes three standard content tabs for the product page:
- Description
- Additional Information
- Reviews
TheGem allows you to add additional custom tabs to the products and populate them with different content sources.
How To Add Custom Tabs For All Products Globally?
1. Go to “Theme Options -> Product”
2. Enable “Additional tabs” section
3. Use the repeater control to add any number of custom tabs
Following settings are available:
Tab Title
Specify the tab title
Content Type
For tab content you can choose between content added using TinyMCE editor or you can select a global section template created in TheGem templates builder. Learn more about global sections in this chapter
Tab Priority
Tab Priority here you can specify the tab priority order. Please note: by default WooCommerce uses following priority orders for built-in tabs:
- Description Tab: Priority 10
- Additional Info Tab: Priority 20
- Reviews Tab: Priority 30
How To Add Custom Tabs For Separate Products Individually?
1. Go to “Products -> All Products” in the WordPress dashboard menu
2. Select the product to edit
3. On the product edit page, scroll down to Page Options
4. Select “Additional Tabs”
5. Change the setting from “Default Settings (Theme Options)” to “Custom Settings”
How To Add Custom Tabs In The Product Template?
While editing the product template in page builder, add the “Product Tabs” content element
