What Is WPML / How to Setup WPML?

WPML is a WordPress plugin, which allows building and running multilingual sites. With WPML, you can easily translate the website you create with TheGem into multiple languages. TheGem was carefully tested and is compatible with WPML.

Setting Up WPML

Start by installing and activating the following plugins:

• The WPML core plugin
• WPML String Translation add-on

If you are building a WooCommerce store, you should also install the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency add-on. This add-on comes with the WPML Multilingual CMS or Agency account types. You can find it in the Downloads section of your WPML account.

Here, we’ll quickly introduce the translation modes you can use:

• Translate Everything Automatically – Translate your published content automatically with DeepL, Google Translate, or Microsoft Azure. You can review the automatic translations before or after publishing them.
• Translate What You Choose – You decide what to translate and who should translate it. You can translate your site by yourself, send content to translators, or translation services. You can also choose to use automatic translation on specific content.
