Loop Item Specific Elements

As already mentioned, you can add any content elements available in page builder to your loop item template. However, the mostly used elements are loop item specific elements like post featured media, post title etc. which content is populated dynamically from the post data. Here we will describe briefly loop item specific elements.


Post/Product Title

This element displays post title or product title (if used for product loops in WooCommerce).

You can adjust alignment and use different text style presets and adjust typography.


Post Excerpt/Product Short Description

This element shows post excerpt. Post excerpt can be specified in the following meta field while editing a post:

Alternatively you can specify the post excerpt in Page Options >Title Area section - this excerpt will override the excerpt specified in the WordPress Excerpt meta field (see above):


If the loop item template is used for displaying products in the loop (WooCommerce), this element displays the product short description, which can be specified here in product:

Feature Media

Depending on the post format settings, which you can specify in Page Options -> Post Format, featured media can be:

  • Featured Image

  • Video

  • Audio

  • Post Gallery

Based on these post format settings, you can display the respective post media in the loop using the "Featured Image/Media" content element. You can override this settings to display only featured images by using the "Ignore Post Format Media" setting in "Featured Image/Media" element:

Product Image

If the loop item template is used for displaying products in the loop (WooCommerce), this element displays the product image, which can be specified here in product:

Using the flexible settings of the "Featured Media/Product Image" element you can specify the size of the featured media/product image, its alignment, and adjust styles.

NOTE: you can also insert the post featured image as a background in your row/section or column. To do this, please proceed as follows:

Go to “Design Options” in a row / column and activate “Use post featured image as background

Elementor

Go to “Style” tab – Background, select Dynamic Tags and then “Page/Post Featured Image”


Post Meta/Product Attributes

With this element you can add following post meta elements to loop item template:

  • Categories
  • Author
  • Date
  • Time
  • Likes
  • Comments

These elements can be added/disabed using the repeater in the front-end editor:

If the loop item template is used for displaying products in the loop, this element can be used to display product attributes, which can be specified here in product:

Depending on the type of the selected element, additional options of this element will be displayed in repeater.

You can choose between two design skins / styles of the post info elements: classic and modern. You can also specify how to display the elements: horizontally in one line or vertically. In “Style” tab you can make additional styling adjustments for different post info elements.


Post Content

Allows to display the post content in loop item template. It comes with additional options for text truncation, max width, and many styling settings.


Product Add to Cart

This element adds the "add to cart" button to the loop item template. Note: this works only for loop item templates used for product loops in case WooCommerce plugin is installed.


Product Price

This element displays the product price in the loop item template. Note: this works only for loop item templates used for product loops in case WooCommerce plugin is installed.


Product Rating

This element displays the product rating in the loop item template. Note: this works only for loop item templates used for product loops in case WooCommerce plugin is installed.


Custom Fields / ACF/ Toolset

Using custom fields it is possible to add different type of content fields per post/page basis and personalize these fields with post/page individual values. TheGem comes with its own custom fields feature and is compatible with ACF (advanced custom fields) and Toolset plugins.
Using the “Custom Fields” content element you can display the current post custom fields inside the loop item template.

Dynamic Tags (Elementor)

Dynamic Tags help you to display customized data based on various sources in any content widget. For example you can display the post title using “ Animated Heading” widget. Or you can show post featured image as a section/column background.
