How to Define and Display New Products?

Defining a Product as a "New" Product

In TheGem, there are two methods for defining products as "new" products.

Method 1: Featured Products

The default method for designating any product as "new" is by marking it as a "featured" product:

• Navigate to Products > All Products in the WordPress admin.
• In the product list table, click on the "Star" icon to mark the product as "Featured."

Once this is done, the respective product will be displayed with the "New" label in product grids/lists and on the product page.

Method 2: Added in the Last X Days

You can customize the method for specifying new products as follows:

• Go to Theme Options > WooCommerce > Extra Options.
• In the "New" Product Display Method field, select "added in the last X days."
• In the "Days" field, specify the number of days during which a newly added product will be considered new, and the “New” label will be displayed.

Displaying New Products

In the products grid (Elementor, WPBakery) and products carousel (Elementor, WPBakery) elements, you can choose to display only "New" products by activating the following setting:

In case your website/shop uses a full page cache like WP Super Cache, WPRocket or LiteSpeed Cache, we recommend to enable the next setting "Load with AJAX":
