How to add custom fields to team members?

Team members come with predefined custom fields like "Name," "Position," and "Phone," which you can edit within the page options when managing a team member in the WordPress admin.

If you need to add more custom fields to team members, you can do so using TheGem custom fields or by installing the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin.

To add custom fields using TheGem custom fields:

  1. Navigate to Theme Options -> TheGem Posttypes -> Team Persons.
  2. Enable the Add Custom Fields option.
  3. Define your custom fields in the Specify Custom Field settings.
  4. Use the Add Field button to include additional custom fields.

After saving your changes, the new custom fields will appear in the page options for team members in your WordPress admin.

You can then display these custom fields on the team member’s page or in grids (using the Loop Item Builder) with the "Custom Fields" content element.
