Grids With Dynamic Content
TheGem helps you to create extended post loops and listings by adding dynamic post data like taxonomy terms, dynamic meta, custom fields, ACF, and Toolset fields. Additionally, you can activate advanced AJAX filters in multiple layouts including dynamic data filters.
Let’s check the Posts Extended Grid element as an example.
Additional Meta
In the “Caption -> Meta” section of this element you will find multiple settings for controlling the display of different caption elements in a single grid item. Here you will find the “Additional Meta” setting. By activating this setting you can then select which meta data or custom fields should be displayed in the item in grid as additional meta information:
Custom Fields
In the “Caption -> Custom Fields” section you can activate the displaying of the items custom fields directly in grid:

Custom fields are organized as a repeater control, allowing you to show multiple different custom fields and taxonomies in grid items.
Following settings are available:
Fields Layout
Select between vertical or horizontal (inline) layout for displaying custom fields
Title
Specify the title/label of the custom field
Type
You can select between TheGem Custom Fields (see description in chapter “Custom Fields”), ACF/Toolset custom field groups and taxonomies.
Select Field/Taxonomy
Choose the custom field (or taxonomy) to be displayed in the item’s caption
Field Type
Select between “text” and “number” field type. The “number” field type helps to auto-format the number values when displaying in grid using the current WP Locale (see description in chapter “Custom Fields”).
Prefix/Suffix
Optionally add prefix/suffix to the “number” value
Icon
Optionally select an icon for the selected custom field/taxonomy
Dynamic Content Filter
In the “Filters & Sorting” section of the Posts Extended Grid element you can activate the extended AJAX filter including different custom fields and taxonomies. In the “Attributes” setting you will find a repeater control for adding multiple different filter attributes:

Specify the filter’s title
Filter By
Choose between taxonomies, TheGem Custom Fields (see description in chapter “Custom Fields”) and ACF/Toolset custom field groups
Select Field/Taxonomy
Choose the custom field or taxonomy for filtering
